One of the traditional ways of spending holidays for US younglings is the summer camps. Camps have multiple topics, activities, and goals. You might find summer camps that are limited to certain religious groups etc. What they do have in common is fun! Kids are having fun there, and your role is to make sure they have everything they need to spend time carelessly. Note that camps are usually isolated, and you will spend lots of time on the campgrounds.
During the program, you will not directly interact with children, but you will perform jobs on the campgrounds, laundry, restaurants/mess-hall. Positions will vary from camp to camp. Some of the employment positions will predominantly be outdoors and others inside the buildings. Make sure to pick what floats your boat!
